WWII poster: Victory Garden

Food shortages

WWII had caused shortages in the food supply as well as for transportation of the food. Many items were rationed and private citizens were encouraged to plant Victory Gardens to lesson burden and allow more commercial canned goods to be sent to the troops. Information was given on how to grow fruits and vegetables, as well as on preserving the produce.

"Your Victory Garden counts more that ever!"
