WWII poster: Use it up, wear it out, made it do

Rationing and shortages

During WWII, the government introduced rationing as a means of fair distribution of items which were in short supply. At various times during the war a variety of items were rationed, including such things as gasoline, rubber, sugar, meat, butter, and shoes. This government poster reminds people to make do or do without.
